Cariba Creek

Along with the Splash Landings hotel and new Conference Centre, June 2003 saw Alton Towers open Cariba Creek - a brand new, state of the art waterpark. The waterpark is now open to not only hotel guests staying at either of the hotels, but the general public as well. Cariba Creek is home to many exciting and surprising features (Described on the right).

Areas & Rides

Lagoona Bay - A large main pool area for all the family including a main fountain.

The Little Leak - A mini bay for all the smaller children. Including water squirters and a central pelican.

The tipping bucket - Maybe one of the most amazing parts of the waterpark, the tipping bucket tips 1000 litres (1 tonne) of water across the Lagoona every 5 minutes.

The master blaster - The longest 'water rollercoaster' in the UK. Small rafts are powered up and down the huge tubes by powerful water jets.

Flash Flood - Outdoor area which consists of 5 slides on two levels. The slides are very tame, short and aren't worth more than a minutes queue! There is also an outdoor pool and hot whirlpool which can be accessed via the outdoor slides or an entrance to the inside of Cariba Creek.

Volcanic Springs - Internal hot whirlpool

The Wacky Waterworks Treehouse - Interactive water zone featuring water cannons, water wheels, pumps and waterpools. A great area for everyone with a watery surprise around every corner.

Rush and Rampage - Cariba Creek's indoor water flumes/slides. Both require rubber-ring boats which can be picked up at the bottom of the queue lines. The two flumes are both reasonably quick but they don't last long !

How long are the Slides Worth queuing for?

Master Blaster - 25 minutes - A quick, exciting ride the first time and worth the queue.

Rush and Rampage - 5 minutes - Nothing too special, In my opinion these flumes were a let down as they weren't long enough.
