		Alton Towers Hotel The Alton Towers Hotel was built in 1996 when Tussauds made it clear that Alton Towers was too big to experience in only one day. The hotel is themed around Sir Algenon Aloysius Alton and his many wonderful inventions. He gathered ideas and astonishing artefacts from around the world, and used them to develop unique contraptions such as the ‘coasting roller’ or the ‘Rollercoaster’. Hotel facilities - 167 Rooms and 7 themed suites - Dragon Bar - Captains Bar - Secret Garden Restaurant - Arcade Hotel Pictures				The Alton Towers hotel is very impressive and offers an excellent location for those people who want to make their theme park trip last 2 days, but not lose the magic of Alton Towers. The hotel itself is based on 3 floors, the foyer on the middle, secret garden restaurant on the first and rooms on all floors. Every discovery room (standard room) is spacious and full of surprises for the children and sketches on the walls showing some of the wonders Sir Algenon imagined. All rooms are en-suite, have tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and satellite TV (including park channel). Alternatively treat you and your family to a themed suite, why not melt into the Cadbury room or test your nerves in the Nemesis suite. Every suite has ‘its own special ingredient’, the Cadbury suites being its Chocolate machine, the coca cola suite with its own unlimited coke fountain. Why not try one of the other 7 suites and find out for yourself what it has to offer! All themed suites include an X-celerater ticket which allows you to skip the queues via entering at the exit on every ride once, which is another great bonus. There is also a huge chess board with people sized pieces adjacent to the outside tables for the Secret Garden restaurant and Dragon bar. An excellent location for a summer night's drink. Secret Garden Restaurant The Secret Garden Restaurant offers wonderful views over the exteriror landscaped gardens and is located on the first floor with an extremely grand entrance. The Secret Garden Restaurant serves brasserie-style food in the evening and excellent cooked or continental breakfasts in the morning. Advantages of staying at the Alton Towers Hotel - Access to Cariba Creek Waterpark (payment dependant upon package). - Extra Ride Time in theme park - from 9:30 till 10am only hotel guests are allowed in the park and can ride Nemesis and AIR. - Woodland walk access directly to the theme park.
